Can I turn off the Workflow title?

If you don't want your Workflow title to display you can set this from the configure screen of the Workflow in question.

This setting affects both the web and embed versions of your Workflow. If you want the title to display on one type but not the other you could clone your Workflow and use different settings for each.

What is the Media Section in MyMalcolm?

The Media Section in MyMalcolm is a central place to manage images and other resources (eg PDF's) that you may wish to reference in your FAQs or use as part of the Brand customisation of your Malcolm! Hosted Hub.

You can upload resources directly into the Media section and any resources you upload via the FAQ or Brand sections will also automatically be put into the Media Section.

Can I change the colours used in my rating elements?

You can change the colours used for the positive, negative, neutral and unrated rating elements within your theme via the Brand section of MyMalcolm.

What are labels in MyMalcolm?

Labels are free form text descriptions that you can attach to particular FAQs or Workflows in your Library. They can help you organise your FAQs or Workflows. For instance you could create a label called "Needs Update" and attached that label to FAQs of Workflows that you know are out of date.

To create and manage your labels first go into the FAQ or Workflow section within an instance in MyMalcolm. Then select Labels on the black horizontal bar. Note that labels created within FAQ or Workflows are unique to that section. They don't span sections. If you wish to use the same labels in both sections you will need to create the label in each section.

You apply created labels to FAQs or Workflows via the Library. Select the FAQs or Workflows you wish to add the label to by checking the respective check boxes and then click the label icon and clicking the label you wish to apply.

Labels will only be seen by you and other members of your instance Team. They won't be seen by your customers.

What can I change in the Settings Section of MyMalcolm?

The Settings Section of MyMalcolm offers a variety of configuration options for your Instance.

Within this section you can change the following things:

The name and description of your Instance (this is seen within MyMalcolm by other Team members)
The subdomain used for your Malcolm! Instance and/or setup your own custom domain
Manage third party Javascript tracking tags
Turn the Hosted Hub off/on and configure whether it appears in search engines
Turn approvals off/on
Redirect base URL if Hosted Hub not used
Transfer Instance ownership to someone else
Delete your Instance
Turn FAQs on/off
Turn Workflows on/off
Manage your Integration credentials

Can I stop or suppress certain FAQs and/or Workflows from contributing to dynamic listings?

Malcolm! auto generates certain listings of FAQs such as most helpful, most popular, recently added and trending. If an FAQ is hidden (see here for more info it won't be included in these listings but sometimes you may wish to exclude a regular non hidden FAQ from these listings.

You can do this via in MyMalcolm via the individual FAQ's visibility settings (FAQs / Library / Configure / Visibility):

How do I build a Workflow?

You can build a Workflow quickly via the Workflow Builder in MyMalcolm.

To get started, first go to the Workflow section of MyMalcolm and then click "Create a Workflow" towards the top right of the screen.

You can then choose whether to build a Workflow from scratch, start with one of our templates or - if you have already created some Workflows previously - clone one of those previously created Workflows.

You can then use our drag and drop builder to create your Workflow.

Once you have created the content of your form, you can to the Configure tab and configure various options including setting up email notifications or Integrations.

By default your Workflow is created as a web form that you access via a URL. But you can also surface that Workflow in a variety of other ways (including float it over page in a widget, via a modal/overlay launched by a button you place on a site, or via embeds or plugins) - take a look at the Share section of MyMalcolm to do this.

How do I set up my Hosted Hub?

Every instance of Malcolm! comes complete with a Hosted Hub that you can configure and customise.

You can find out more about the Hosted Hub here and if you want to turn if off you can find out how to do that here.

In MyMalcolm if you click "View Live" towards the top the screen you'll see what your Hosted Hub currently looks like.

The two things you are probably most likely to want to change are the URL the Hub is on and the Hub's look, feel and content. Here is how to configure each of those areas.

1. Configure the URL

In MyMalcolm, go to the Settings section, then select "Custom Domains" from the vertical left hand menu. In this area you can change the URL your Hosted Hub will use. It's possible (and no extra charge) to use your own external domain or sub-domain.

2. Change your Hub's look, feel and content

You can extensively customise your Hosted Hub to suit your own requirements. To do this, go to the Brand section of MyMalcolm, clone an existing theme, then choose the edit icon on your cloned theme.

In the edit theme area use the left hand vertical navigation to see all the custom options you have.

How do I hide an FAQ?

You can change the visibility of an individual FAQ within that FAQ's Configure section

Browse to the FAQ in question via the Library, select it and then go to the Configure section, then Visibility.

Here you have the following options:

Set as visible on your site and search engines (default)
Set as visible on your site but hidden from search engines
Set as hidden from your site and search engines
